Profile
The Coca-Cola Company is the world’s largest beverage company operating in more than 200 countries. Globally, we are the number one provider of sparkling beverages, juices and juice drinks and ready-to-drink teas and coffees. The Coca-Cola Company has proudly produced beverages locally in Myanmar since June 2013. Over the past three years, Coca-Cola has made substantial investments in new production lines, facilities, cold drink equipment, products and people development and will continue to invest as part of our planned, five-year, $200 million commitment to the country. The Coca-Cola system in Myanmar employs more than 1,400 people locally and prioritizes the development of employees by rolling out comprehensive capability building programs across all departments, providing more than 60,000 hours of learning and development training in 2015. In the community, Coca-Cola is partnering with the NGO Pact on a women’s empowerment initiative called Swan Yi, which has reached more than 31,000 women in Myanmar through capacity building and loan-based savings training.
