AMCHAM Masquerade Ball a Bright Spot in Yangon’s Rainy Season The American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM Myanmar), a non-profit business association that represents the voice of American business in Myanmar, hosted its first annual black-tie gala on September 1 at Novotel Yangon Max.
The Masquerade Ball theme of this inaugural flagship event brought together more than 200 guests in masked finery from among the American, Myanmar and multinational business community in Yangon and around the region. Festivities kicked-off with a cocktail reception, followed by a four-course dinner featuring American wines, and a raffle which successfully raised 1,500,000 kyats for the Chamber’s Scholarship Program which currently supports 30 outstanding and promising Myanmar students at two universities in Yangon. Guests danced the night away to live music performed by Velvet Band Avenue and DJ Bay Tar.
