The Board of Governors of AMCHAM Myanmar is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Tatum Albertine who will be joining the Chamber as the new Executive Director with effect from 8th January 2020. Tatum is a U.S citizen and she joins the Chamber from the U.S. Embassies in Yangon, Myanmar, and Nairobi, Kenya, where she worked to advance U.S. political and economic diplomacy. Over the past four years, she has worked closely with a wide array of U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, the private sector, and civil society. She previously worked in academia as a researcher and teaching assistant at the Harvard Law School and the American University in Cairo where she focused on intellectual property rights issues. She also worked at the Smithsonian Institution as a fundraiser, helping to organize the largest fundraising campaign in any cultural institution's history. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. As Executive Director, she will be overseeing business operations and works to implement high-quality, strategic benefits for all members of the Chamber. Tatum is based in Yangon full-time.
