Khin Maung Win
Khin Maung Win is the Chairman and Managing Director of Myan Shwe Pyi Tractors Limited ("MSP CAT"), exclusive dealer for Caterpillar in Myanmar.
Khin joined Singapore-based heavy equipment company Soon Douglas in 1991 and served in various positions in their Singapore and Indonesian operations. In 1995, he returned to Myanmar and started heavy equipment company Myanmar Soon Pacific together with a group of international investors. The company was one of the pioneers in working with Myanmar Government to engage private sector in the country's infrastructure projects such as hydro-electric and irrigation dams, oil and gas pipelines and highways.
In 2005, Khin founded a new construction company Myan Shwe Pyi Limited (MSP) and expanded the business to become one of the largest aggregate suppliers for infrastructure projects in Myanmar.
In 2011, MSP became exclusive dealer for Caterpillar in Myanmar. Caterpillar business now supports a wide range of industries such as electric power generation, transportation, oil and gas, mining, construction, and agriculture.
Chris Manley is the Group Country Manager for RMA Myanmar. Chris is responsible for RMA's operations in Myanmar which include management of distributorships for Ford, Land Rover, Jaguar, JCB, John Deere, Himoinsa, Comin Asia, as well as franchises for The Pizza Company and Swensen's. Before moving to Myanmar in his current role, Chris was the Group Country Manager of RMA Lao and before that the Head of Business Development for RMA's worldwide operations based in Bangkok. Prior to his career with RMA, Chris was Country Managing Director/Senior Legal Adviser for the legal advising firm, DFDL Lao, and worked in various roles for Accenture and Johnson & Johnson in the United States. Chris holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University as well as an MBA and Juris Doctor from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Chris lives in Yangon with his family.
Jonathan Perry has taken on the role of Myanmar Country Manager for Chevron from 1 January 2019. Jonathan joined Chevron as a Drill Site Manager in 2007 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University. He has since held numerous technical and operational positions of increasing responsibility across drilling and completions, exploration, base business, and planning in Midland, Houston, Aberdeen, San Ramon, and Angola. Most recently, Jonathan led the transition of the Mafumeira Sul major capital project into base operations. He is accompanied by his wife Laine and son Forest.
William is Managing Director of DFDL's Myanmar office, a full service legal and tax firm with locations spread across ASEAN. His practice focuses on M & A, corporate and project finance and securities. With a focus on Southeast Asia, William's clients include a range of industries including energy, mining, infrastructure, oil and gas, banking, telecommunications and tourism. William holds a B.A. degree from the University of Oregon in Asian Studies with a minor in East Asian Literature and Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco, California. He is a member of the State Bar of California, State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of California International Law Section and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
With over 20 years of experience in management consultancy, sales, marketing and operations, he has an exceptional background in developing new markets and implementing strategic business plans including new product innovation through effective risk management, new business development, profit & loss projection and cost cutting initiatives.
Andrew has worked in various multinational companies such as Panasonic Company, Shangri- La Hotels & Resorts, B2BGalaxy.com and Dun & Bradstreet, mostly based in the US but also Myanmar, in roles such as Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Strategy Planning, Financial Modeling and Global Market Development. He then moved on and co-founded the telephony software company AGM Telecom based in Keller, Texas. Under his leadership, revenues at AGM Telecom grew by US$7.5 million in less than 36 months. He later joined JP Morgan Chase (Card Services), in Wilmington, Delaware as Segment Manager where he managed New Product & Market Development including identifying new technology trends and market opportunities to expand the bank's product offering. Prior to joining GE, Andrew was the Principal Consultant for Lee Consulting LLC in Bear, Delaware, consulting primarily for small and medium sized businesses in Strategic Market Analysis, Business Efficiencies, Project Proposals along with Financial Planning and Business Development Initiatives.
In addition to advanced training in the banking and investment sectors, Andrew holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing from Rutgers State University. He also actively participates in investment clubs and enjoys fund raising for community events, golfing, cooking and keeping up with current financial markets in both macroeconomics and geo-political changes in the Euro zones and Southeast Asia regions.
Chan Han is the founder and CEO of Han Golf Masters, a company providing professional services in all aspects of golf with the primary mission to provide the Myanmar golf industry with the much needed innovative and inspirational tools and knowledge to lead Myanmar golf to the next level.
Han Golf Masters' services include event management, sales and distribution of leading international golf brands, golf course design and management, golf equipment manufacturing, publication of a Myanmar language golf magazine, and a golf academy featuring state of the art instructional facilities. Additionally, Han Golf Masters have been sanctioned to organize and manage the inaugural American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event in Myanmar. AJGA is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to gain college scholarships through competitive junior golf.
Hari Achuthan is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ACO Investment Group and Convalt Energy. Prior to founding ACO and Convalt, Hari was a Director at Credit Suisse Asset Management in the Alternative Investment group, where he covered hedge fund, real estate and private equity strategies. Prior to this, he worked at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, where he led the group's global pension strategy and transition management business. In 2009, Hari was selected as one of the emerging leaders at Credit Suisse Asset Management and named one of the "Rising Stars in Public Pensions" by Money Management Letter. During his tenure at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, the firm was consistently ranked as a top provider of pension strategies and transition management services. Hari has a B.S. in Applied Economics from Hofstra University. He has volunteered with the Jacksonville Police Athletic League and is a frequent guest lecturer at Louisiana State University School of Business. Hari has also authored a series of papers on the transition management industry which have been published in Institutional Investor and Pensions & Investments.
Zaw Moe Khine
Zaw Moe Khine is the founder and Chairman & CEO of Pacific-AA Group, which includes AA Medical Products Ltd., Pacific Alpine Myanmar Ltd., Pacific-AA Motor Ltd., AA Marketing Company Ltd, Success & Success International Ltd., and Pacific Pharmaceutical USA Inc. He has been in the pharmaceutical business since 1996 and his companies are known for the largest pharmaceutical marketing and distribution company in Myanmar and having opened up the first private pharmaceutical factory in Myanmar in July 2017.
Zaw is the Chairman and CEO of Pacific Alpine Myanmar Ltd./Pacific-AA Motor, the exclusive national distributor of General Motor for Chevrolet vehicles in Myanmar since 2014. His AA Marketing Co. Ltd. is the leading distributor and marketer of automotive and industrial lubricant from leading oil companies, including Total Oil.
He is also a founding member of the Myanmar Pharmaceutical & Medical Equipment Entrepreneur's Association. He is the leading speaker for the Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industry and is a lead advocate for the breakup of the state monopoly of the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Myanmar.
Zaw grew up from a very reputable entrepreneur family in Myanmar and returned to Myanmar upon completion of his B.S. (Marketing) and MBA (Finance and Strategic Planning) from University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in late 1995.
Cherry Trivedi is an active corporate advisor to a number of family owned entities in Myanmar and has led debt placements, asset restructures and coordinated opportunities with international multilateral and financial institutions, across multiple sectors. A seasoned consultant and serial entrepreneur, Cherry started her career in the telecommunications sector with AT&T and Lucent Technologies in the United States before venturing into entrepreneurial endeavors into the mining, real estate, consumer goods, infrastructure and agriculture sectors in Myanmar. She moved to Singapore in 2008 in anticipation of the opening of markets in Myanmar. Cherry Holds an MBA and a BA from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and is fluent in English, Burmese and Hindi. Myanmar born and a US citizen, Cherry spends her time between Myanmar and Singapore where she resides with her husband and two children.
Jo Daniels is the Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie's Yangon office. Jo transitioned to this role from the Brisbane office, which she helped launch, bringing over 20 years of expertise in infrastructure. Jo acts for clients on their investments and operations across the infrastructure industries and has advised on many major projects and privatizations (including port, rail, water, electricity and gas assets). Since moving to Myanmar, Jo has advised on various aspects of corporate activity, including mergers, acquisitions and joint venture structuring as well as general FDI questions including permits, licensing, and the new investment laws. Jo’s expertise spans a range of industries including financial services, government, agriculture, manufacturing, retail, mining and resources. Jo has published extensively on third-party access law and has recently completed her PhD in heavy haul access regulation through The University of Melbourne.
Ozgur Simsek currently serves as General Manager of Coca-Cola Myanmar. Prior to this role, he was the Commercial Director for Coca-Cola Myanmar, part of the team that re-entered the country after six decades of absence. Ozgur’s responsibilities also included the role of Strategic Planning and Knowledge & Insights in addition to his Customer and Commercial Leadership, as well as Franchise responsibilities. Ozgur joined the Coca-Cola system with Turkish bottler (CCI), where he first served as Key Account Manager and then Sales System Development Manager for six years. At CCI, he focused on establishment of execution culture and also our Route-to-Market strategy, with pay-forperformance, distributor model. After CCI, Ozgur worked in Coca-Cola Thailand for five years, as Route-to-Market & Execution Manager and RGM Manager. Prior to Coca-Cola System, Ozgur worked with Metro Group AG, where he managed various departments as a buyer. Ozgur holds a Bachelor of Management degree (Hons), from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara.
