The AMCHAM Myanmar Energy and Natural Resources Committee, under the leadership of U.S. Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Scot Marciel, met with H.E. U Ohn Winn, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC) and H.E. U Win Khaing, Minister of Electricity and Energy (MOEE) in Nay Pyi Taw on June 7.

The meetings discussed ways to promote Myanmar’s energy and natural resources sectors and attract U.S. investments in the country. The meetings also fostered further collaboration, engagement and continuous dialogues between the two parties.

AMCHAM Energy & Natural Resources Committee 
The AMCHAM Energy & Natural Resources Committee is composed of Myanmar-based American Chamber of Commerce members with interests in the Myanmar energy and natural resources business sectors. The Committee was formed in order to help develop and nurture a business environment in Myanmar that is efficient, transparent, community-oriented and environmentally responsible. The Committee works to accomplish this goal through a combination of direct stakeholder outreach, policy advocacy and educational initiatives.
