AMCHAM Myanmar launched its first annual CSR Excellence Recognition Program in August 2015. The program recognizes member companies that create long-term economic and social benefits in Myanmar communities.
To qualify for ACE recognition, a company’s CSR program must receive high-marks in five categories:
- Overall Integration of CSR Programming and Value Creation
- Sustainability of Programming
- Measurability of Results and Reporting
- Communications of CSR Programming
- Partnerships
In addition to the award, selected companies are recognized at the AMCHAM Thanksgiving luncheon in November, listed on the AMCHAM website, acknowledged with a press release, and mentioned in AMCHAM publications.
The program provides special acknowledgement for CSR excellence over consecutive years as follows:
- ACE Silver level: a firm achieves the baseline score for 3 consecutive years
- ACE Gold level: a firm achieves the baseline score for 5 consecutive years
- ACE Platinum level: a firm achieves the baseline score for 10 consecutive years
General application criteria:
- Must be an AMCHAM member
- CSR activity must have been implemented for at least six months
- Must be willing to share information with other AMCHAM Myanmar members
- Must complete application form
