AMCHAM PARTNERS WITH ISY'S SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar’s commitment to supporting the people and the future of Myanmar remains unwavering. As of the 13th of December 2023, AMCHAM will be donating the entirety of its scholarship fund to The International School Yangon (ISY) for the delivery of scholarships to deserving students attending university abroad. ISY’s esteemed Scholarship College Program aims to empower outstanding students that have demonstrated academic excellence with the opportunity to cover all costs associated with their academic journey overseas as they seek a brighter future for themselves and their country.

This significant milestone is a result of a collaborative effort, by the many members of our American business community who have donated to the scholarship fund over the years. We mark this momentous occasion by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AMCHAM Myanmar and ISY, which was accompanied by the recognition of AMCHAM Myanmar as a Silver Donor on ISY’s Esteemed Donor wall.

AMCHAM Myanmar seeks to further this charitable initiative and will be contributing all future donations from AMCHAM’s Scholarship Fund to ISY’s program. The future of Myanmar is not a gift, but an achievement that must be earned – AMCHAM’s partnership with ISY ensures the coming generations are supported as they play their part in the future achievements of this country.
