THE AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT

The Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM Myanmar) have appointed Max Talcott, Country Manager, RMA Myanmar, as the new President to lead the Chamber, effective February 9, 2021.Max has been an active member of the AMCHAM Myanmar for many years, and previously served as a Governor and Vice-President. He prioritizes advocacy and corporate social responsibility as key objectives for the AMCHAM Myanmar. On his appointment as President Max noted, �AMCHAM Myanmar, the voice of American business in Myanmar, has been a steadfast partner and supporter of responsible growth in Myanmar since its founding in 2013. I look forward to working with our members this year to build on our progress.� He has resided in Yangon for eight years and holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.Four additional officers serve alongside Max Talcott. Adam Castillo, Managing Director of Atalian Global Services, and Jay Martin, Managing Director of Access Resources Asia, both serve as Vice-Presidents. Thomas Chan, Partner at KPMG will serve as Treasurer.
